What’s in a lesson?
Lessons include a video, a presentation, a quiz and most have a worksheet for pupils. The aim is to replicate the phases of a classroom lesson as closely as is possible in an asynchronous setting:
- First, an intro quiz to retrieve and activate prior knowledge that needs to be built upon
- Next, in the video, an explanation of the topic with questions to ensure understanding, followed by practice tasks
- Finally, an exit quiz to check understanding
There’s also a transcript of each lesson so you can quickly skim to see what’s covered without having to watch the video all the way through. Many teachers use the transcripts to help script their own lessons.
