Hi, everyone.

Welcome me to your 10th and final lesson of this unit with me Miss Brittain and Cedric.

In today's lesson we will write the final section of our discussion.

We'll start with our nursery rhyme.

Then we'll recap what we've already written.

And then we'll write the final bit of our discussion.

You will need an exercise book or a piece of paper and a pencil and you might want to get the writing that we've already done earlier running the unit, your super imagination and your Teddy Talk partner or anything different that you use instead.

You can pause the video now to go and get any items that you need and then return ready for nursery rhyme.

Before we begin, Cedric, I'd love to play a game of Would You Rather.

Do you want to play? Okay, so Would You Rather is where you give people two options.

Would you rather this or would rather that? And they have to choose one and explain why.

So you're ready Cedric? My first one is, would you rather be able to jump as high and as fast as a kangaroo or breathe underwater for as long as a whale? What do you think? Always having to think? Ah, right.

I think I agree with you Cedric.

Cedric says it might rather be a whale because he'd love to be able to swim under the ocean and see all the creatures under there and see how far he could swim.

I think I agree with you, Cedric.

Have you got one for me? Oh, good one.

Cedric says, would I rather be able to control fire or water? Hmm.

I think I'd have to go with water Cedric, because I feel like water can also control fire.

What would you ever do for those two questions, children.

Now it's time for our nursery rhyme, and for this, you will need your Teddy Talk partner.

Okay, are you ready? ♪ Round around the garden like a teddy bear ♪ ♪ One step two step ♪ ♪ Tickle you under there ♪ And now I'm going to do it to Cedric.

So you might want to do to your Teddy Talk partner.

Let's go round your shell Cedric.

♪ Round around the garden like a teddy bear ♪ ♪ One step two step ♪ ♪ Tickle you under there ♪ Have a go with your Teddy Talk partner.

Cedric loves this one.

Now it's time to recap our discussion to see what we've written already.

Now your discussion might look a bit different to mine if you've done your own sentences, in the other lessons and that's fine.

Let's have a look at what we've already written.

I am here to talk about my sis going into the woods on her own.

Mum said she should go for three reasons.

So these are our advantages.

First, Gran was sick and on her own.

Second, we were busy and sis was not.

And third, she was old enough to go alone.

On the other hand.

So am giving a different opinion now and this is my disadvantages.

My sis said there were three reasons she should not.

First, it was dangerous because of wolves.

Second, it was a long way and she was tired and third, she might get lost.

What great writing we've done already.

Great work on that already children.

I can't wait to finish our discussion off today.

So let's have a little look at where we're up to.

So we've written our introduction.

We've written the advantages.

We've written the disadvantages.

And our final bit to write is our conclusion.

Can you pause the video now and tell your Teddy Talk partner what our pictures mean in the conclusion.

Great work if you gave that a go.

Little Blue Running Shoes decided that Little Red Riding Hood should go to grandma's house but, a woodcutter should go with her so that she's safe.

So we can put that into our writing today and finish our discussion off.

Now we'll write the discussion but not before looking at our star words and high frequency words.

So today's star words our key vocabulary are dangerous, woodcutter and safe.

Dangerous, woodcutter and safe and you might use these in your items today.

Say it with me, dangerous, woodcutter, safe.

Well done everybody.

And our high frequency words you can sound them out.

You've just got to know them.

Great work everybody.

Let's have a look at the exam.

My turn it your turn.

My turn is your turn.

My turn the your turn.

My turn go your turn.

My turn she your turn.

Great work everybody.

And of course when we're writing sentences, we need to show five.

Tell your Teddy Talk partner what the five are you need to show.

Great work if you even remembered some of them.

Let's go through them together.

Capital letters for names and the beginning of sentences, finger spaces so my writing's clear.

I use my phonics to sound out any new words and spellings.

Full stop at the end of my sentence, and then I can check that it makes sense.

Show me five.

Now, like in previous lessons, I started.

Now like in lessons before I've started your sentence off, We're at the conclusion, we're at the point where Little Blue Running Shoes is making his decision and he's decided that next time, a woodcutter should go with her.

So I've started my sentence with next time.

If you'd like to use that sentence opener, next time, you can pause the video now and write it.

It's okay if you want to use a different sentence opener or you don't want to use that one or you want to start your sentence with something else.

That's fine, too.

That's really good.

Okay, so when I'm thinking of a sentence, I need to think it first.

I need to say it twice, then punctuate it before I even think about writing it.

So next time, I'm going to say, a woodcutter.

Next time, a woodcutter should go with her.

Hmm.

And I'm going to explain why but let's write that first bit.

Next time, a wood cutter should go with her.

Capital letter.

Next time, a wood cutter should go with her.

Okay, if you want to have a go at writing that, you can pause the video now and write on your own.

If you're not feeling confident and you want to write along with me, that's okay too.

Okay, let's have a look at that being written.

Next time, a woodcutter, which is one of my star words, should and if you don't know the spelling of words, remember to use your both arms and then blend it to writing.

Sound the words out if you don't know.

Go, which is one of my high frequency words.

with her and I want to extend this to explain why.

So I'm going to pause so that and let's have a read of that all together.

Next time, a woodcutter should go with her so that.

Why does a wood cutter need to go with her? Why does a woodcutter need to go with Little Red Riding Hood into the woods? Can you tell your Teddy Talk partner.

That's right, to keep her safe.

Could you say that with the rest of the sentence.

Next time a woodcutter should go with her so that she is safe.

Can you have a go in saying that.

Great work if you gave that a go.

You might want to finish your own sentence off now, if you're feeling confident, or you might want to write along with me, or you might decide to put something completely different.

You might want to say, so that the wolves don't eat her.

So that she can get to grandma's house okay.

And that's great too.

But if you'd like to write along with me, that's fine.

Next time, a woodcutter should go with her so that she is safe.

Full stop.

She, from my high frequency word box.

Is safe.

S-A-F-E, safe.

Full stop.

Next time a wood cutter should go with her so that she is safe.

And I use my phonics to sound out safe because I wasn't sure of how that was spelled.

If you've managed to do that writing, great work.

if you need to rewind the video and catch up at any point, that's okay too.

You can do that now.

Let's read our discussion all together.

I can't wait to hear the finished piece.

You can pause the video once I finish reading mine, and you can read yours.

It may be different or it may be the same as mine.

But we've all worked really, really hard.

Let's have a look.

Now it's time to read our discussion all the way through.

Yours might look a little bit different to mine, or it might be exactly the same.

Either of those is fine because I know we've all worked really, really hard.

So well done and I can't wait to read the finished piece.

So I'm imagining I'm Little Blue Running Shoes and when you're reading yours, you could imagine you're Little Blue Running Shoes too.

I am here to talk about my sis going into the woods on her own.

Mum said that she should go for three reasons.

First, Gran was sick and on her own.

Second, we were busy and sis was not.

Third, she was old enough to go alone.

On the other hand, my sis said there were three reasons she should not.

First, it was dangerous because of wolves.

Second, it was a long way and she was tired.

Third, she might get lost.

Next time, a woodcutter should go with her so that she is safe.

Wow.

What brilliant writing we've come up with together children.

I am so proud of each and every one of you.

Me and Cedric are so proud of you all in this unit, are we Cedric? We know that you've all worked really, really hard.

Everybody should have something to be proud of, if they've completed this unit.

You might be really proud of how you listen to the discussion.

You might be really proud of how you joined in with the songs.

You might be really proud of your writing, and how you checked for five.

Can you tell your Teddy Talk partner something you're really proud of.

And Cedric is going to tell me what he's really proud of.

Oh I'm glad to hear all those things that you're really proud of.

Cedric said he's really proud of his writing, because he remembered to check for five.

And he also said he really loved singing all the songs with you in this unit children.

Well done everybody.

See you later.
