Today, we're going to step and speak a persuasive piece.

I hope you were ready.

In this lesson, you will need, an exercise book or paper, a pencil, and of course your brain.

You can pause the video now, whilst you go and get those items. We're going to start by singing a nursery rhyme.

Then, we'll tell the text, and finally, we'll step the text.

If you were in lesson two, you'll know, that we sang a song all about persuading.

Let's sing that together and then, I'll teach you a new verse.

Gingerbread can be made into any shape.

You may have heard of the gingerbread man, well, I can sell you your very own gingerbread friend, if you're lonely, a gingerbread alien, if you prefer non-human contact, a gingerbread zebra, if you're an animal lover, I could even sell you a gingerbread house, if you're looking for a place of your own, just don't put it in the woods.

My gingerbread is yummy, and it will taste so good when you get it in your tummy.

We're going to write, one of the actions.

Have a think now, about your favourite action from when you were stepping the text map.

Hmm, my favourite action was, at the end when I rub my tummy.

So I'm going to write, I rub my tummy.

Say that with me.

I rub my tummy.

Now when we write, we say the word, robot the word, write the word.

The first word is I, say it with me, I.

Now I is a word we just have to know.

I, rub say the word, rub.

Robot the word, R-U-B, rub.

Let's write the word, R-U-B, Rub, I rub my, my is another word, we just have to know.

M-Y spells my.

My, I rub my tummy, say the word, tummy.

Robot the word, t, u, mm, y, tummy.

Let's write tummy, T-U-M-M-Y.

Now when we make that e sound, there are lots of different ways we can make the e sound.

And in tummy, we make it with a y at the end.

I rub my tummy.

Let's read the sentence altogether.

I rub my tummy.

Can you write a sentence, telling me how you completed one of your actions in our text map? Remember when we're writing, we say the word, robot the word, and write the word.

If you find writing one sentence easy, you could write sentences for each of your actions.
