Hi everyone, welcome to your seventh lesson of this unit with me Miss Brittain and my talk partner, Cedric.

In today's lesson, we're going to sing our recycled recount, to deepen our understanding of it.

First, we'll start off with a nursery rhyme, then we'll recap our new ideas, then we're going to sing the recap, which is going to help us with our writing later on in the unit.

You will need your listening ears, your super memory, and your teddy talk partner or anything else that you use instead.

You can pause the video here to go and get your teddy talk partner if you need to, and then press play when you return.

Oh, before we start today, I've got a riddle are you ready Cedric? This thing has a back and legs but it doesn't have any hair.

It's something what you sit upon, So that makes it a.

Chair! Did you guess it? Well done if you had a go.

Let's start off with our nursery rhyme.

"Row, row, row your boat." Are you ready for this one Cedric? ♪ Row, row, row your boat ♪ ♪ Gently down the stream ♪ ♪ Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily ♪ ♪ Life is but a dream ♪ Yes, we can do the other version.

You ready children? ♪ Row, row, row your boat ♪ ♪ Gently down the stream ♪ ♪ If you see a crocodile ♪ ♪ Don't forget to scream ♪ Have a go at that one with your teddy talk partner.

Before we sing our recount of recycled ideas, let's recap our ideas from the last lesson.

Now we're thinking about recounting the porridge bowl's experience with Goldilocks, the chairs and the bed, and none of them had particularly nice experiences with her.

Porridge bowl was sad, because she'd left his bowl dirty.

Didn't clean up after herself and didn't leave any porridge for baby bear and he was saving it for him.

So he felt sad.

The chair was hurt and she laughed at him.

So he was upset too, coz she'd hurt him, he'd broken his leg.

And the bed, the bed was angry.

She jumped on him, she messed up the covers and then she was snoring really loudly, so he couldn't sleep.

So none of them, are particularly happy with Goldilocks.

If you'd like to recap those ideas again, you could pause the video now and go through your role play like we did in the last lesson.

Now we're going to be singing the recount, which is going to help us deepen our understanding of our new ideas and help us with our writing later on in the unit.

I can't wait to sing today with you today children.

Now I'm going to sing the verse first, for each character and then you can join in afterwards and then we'll put it all together and we can put some actions to it as well.

And hopefully this will deepen our understanding of how the characters were feeling about their day and help us to write their recount, which is telling us what happened to them, when Goldilocks entered the house.

So I'll sing it first, you can listen and then you can join in afterwards.

Oh, we loved singing the recount with you today children.

Didn't we Cedric? And don't worry if you feel like you're not very confident with singing.

It doesn't matter.

I'm not that confident about singing.

And you're not either Cedric are you? Everybody has things that they feel confident with and not very confident with but as long as we always give things a go and we try our best and be resilient, which means not giving up, Oh Cedric said, "Should we sing our resilience song?" Me and Cedric have a resilience song, that when we feel like we want to give up, we sing with each other and it helps us to carry on going.
