Hi, everyone, welcome to your seventh lesson in this unit with me, Miss Brittain and Cedric.

In today's lesson, we'll write our recycled recount from another's perspective, and that means, from the view of another character.

And we looked at our characters earlier on in the unit, the porridge bowl, the bed, the chair, and the bed.

We'll start off with our nursery rhyme.

We'll recap our new ideas, and then we're going to write our recycled recount.

For today's lesson you will need, an exercise book or a piece of paper and a pencil, super memory and imagination.

And if you've got one Teddy talk partner or something different if you use that.

You can pause the video now and go and get any items that you need if you've not already got them and then press play when you get back.

Before begin today, Cedric has asked if we can have a quick game of, I spy.

Okay, I'll go first Cedric, and then you can go after me, okay? And you can join in at home children.

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with SS, s.

Hmm, have a look around Cedric.

Have you got it? Have you got it at home children? Can you shout at the screen what it is.

Early right, Cedric.

Yes it says, star.

You want to go okay.

Cedric spies with his little eye.

Something beginning with, ba.

B, something beginning with B ba, can you see what it is children? Hmm, hmm.

I think I've got it Cedric.

Have you got it at home children? Can you shout at the screen? That's right, book.

Oh, well done everyone.

We're ready for our learning hour with Cedric.

Now we're going to sing the nursery rhyme, Incy Wincy Spider.

For this you'll need your teddy talk partner.

I'm going to use Cedric as my Incy Wincy Spider, so you might you'd like to use your teddy talk partner.

If you don't know this one.

I'll sing it once you can listen, and then you can join in afterwards.

Are you ready? We need a water spout, and your Incy Wincy Spider.

♪ Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout ♪ ♪ Down came the rain washed the spider out ♪ ♪ Out came the sun that dried up all the rain ♪ ♪ And Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the spout again ♪ Should we do that one more time? You ready? I'm going to do it this way actually.

♪ Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout ♪ ♪ Down came the rain and washed the spider out ♪ ♪ Out came the sun that dried up all the rain ♪ ♪ And Incy Wincy spider climbed up the spout again ♪ You can practise that one with your teddy talk partner if you'd like.

Now we're going to recap our new ideas for our recycled writing, using our songs from the last lesson.

So remember for our recount, where writing involved, as the porridge bowl, the chair and the bed.

And we're writing their recount, of what happened to them when Goldilocks came into the house instead of baby bears.

So I'll sing it once, sing the song once, and then you can join in afterwards, to recap our ideas.

♪ Goldilocks came in the house ♪ ♪ Ate me up ♪ ♪ Ate me up ♪ ♪ Didn't say thank you ♪ ♪ Left my bowl dirty ♪ ♪ Then she burped ♪ ♪ I was sad ♪ ♪ After porridge, I was shocked ♪ ♪ Then she came and sat on me ♪ ♪ Broke my leg ♪ ♪ I fell down ♪ ♪ Then she laughed ♪ ♪ Bote ho.

♪ ♪ After chair ♪ ♪ I was scared ♪ ♪ Didn't want to be broken ♪ ♪ She jumped on me ♪ ♪ Messed me up ♪ ♪ Then she snored ♪ ♪ I was cross.

♪ So we've got porridge who was sad.

She was rude.

She left him very dirty.

He wanted to save himself a baby bear.

We have the chair, she broke his leg.

It was hurt and she locked her in.

And then the bed.

She jumped on it, and she was heavy.

She messed up the bed and then she snored.

See if you can join in this time children.

♪ Goldilocks came ♪ ♪ In the house ♪ ♪ Ate me up ♪ ♪ Didn't say thank you ♪ ♪ Left my bowl dirty ♪ ♪ Then she burped ♪ ♪ I was sad ♪ ♪ After porridge ♪ ♪ I was ♪ ♪ Shocked ♪ ♪ Then she came and sat on me ♪ ♪ Broke my ♪ ♪ Leg ♪ ♪ I fell down ♪ ♪ Then she laughed ♪ ♪ Bote ho ♪ ♪ After chair ♪ ♪ I was ♪ ♪ Scared ♪ ♪ Didn't want ♪ ♪ To be broken ♪ ♪ She jumped on me ♪ ♪ Mess me up ♪ ♪ Then she, snored ♪ ♪ I was cross ♪ Great work everyone.

If you feel like you want to keep recapping that song, you can always pause and rewind the video.

Now it's time to write our recycled recount.

From the point of view of baby bears porridge.

He was our first character that Goldilocks came to.

And we going to recount his day and what happened to him.

Before we go any further, I'd like to look at today's star words.

And my star words, are key words and vocabulary, that we might use in our writing.

So I've got today, gobbled and burped.

Gobbled and burped, because she gobbled up the porridge, and then she burped afterwards is quite rude.

And these are both to action words.

These are verbs, gobbled and burped.

If you can say them with me this time, gobbled, and burped.

And you might use things in your writing, you might use something different and that's okay too.

And then high frequency words.

These words that we can't sound out, we've just got to know them and the words that come up in our writing all the time we say them all the time too.

So I have a little phrase to remember these.

We can't sound them out.

We've just got to know them.

Say with me this time.

We can't sound them out.

We've just got to know them.

So let's go through them.

I've got I, which is always a capital letter, she, was, and, and me.

Let's have a look at them.

My turn, I, your turn.

My turn, she, your turn.

My turn, was, your turn.

My turn, and, your turn.

My turn, me, your turn.

Whenever I'm writing sentences, I like to use this poster because this helps me to remember what a good sentence means.

A good sentence needs to show five.

Capital letters.

Where do capital letters go children? At the beginning of your sentence and also for names.

Finger spaces in between each word, so that my writing is clear.

Spellings and phonics if I can't say a word, I need to, if I can't spell a word, I need to use my phonics to sound it out, and obviously use my key vocabulary to get the spellings.

So when we're using our phonics we say the word, we robot the word, and then we write it.

So if I was trying to spell dog I would say the word dog, robot the sounds, d, o, g, dog, and all these three sounds, and then write it.

Fourth one is a full stop, which comes at the end of your sentence.

And then of course, we need to read out the end to make sure it makes sense.

Show me five.

And whenever I'm writing a sentence, I like to use this method.

I like to think it with my sentence first, say it twice, and then say it with punctuation.

So I think it, say it, punctuate it before I even write it.

And then I know that I'm confident with what I'm writing.

So I'm showing five, and I thinking it, I'm saying it twice, and then punctuating it before I write it.

Now I've drawn the picture of baby bears porridge.

You might want to draw the picture at the end.

But if you'd like to draw the picture before we start writing, you can pause the video now.

Okay, so let's have a think about what Goldilocks did to baby bears porridge.

What did she do to baby bears porridge? Can you tell your teddy talk partner in a sentence, what she did to baby bears porridge and you could try and use our star words down below and our high frequency words.

Great ideas everybody.

She gobbled him up and burped.

She gobbled him up and burped, but because we're writing in the role of porridge, of the porridge bowl, we need to say she gobbled me up, and burped.

She gobbled me up and burped.

You're going to say it again.

She gobbled me up and burped.

Six word, now I'm going to put my punctuation.

Capital letters, She, gobbled me up and burped full stop.

If you're feeling confident, and you want to write that sentence on your own, you can pause the video now.

But if you like to write along with me, that's okay too.

You might even have your own ideas and your own action words and verbs that she did.

And if you want to use them instead, that's okay too.

Let's have a look at that being written.

Capital letter.

She, and she is one of my high frequency words, gobbled, which is one of my star words, me, is a high frequency word, up, up, up, and, one of my high frequency words, burped, which is one of my star words.

She, she gobbled me up and burped.

You can pause the video now if you feel, if you need to copy that, hoping you didn't get chance to.

Okay because it's a recount of porridge bowl day, I think we need to say how he's feeling because of that, and we know that it made porridge bowl sad, from our song.

So he was sad but it's we're acting like we're him, so we need to say, I was sad.

Pause the video now, and have a go at writing, I was sad.

Great work if you managed to give that a go children, don't worry if you didn't because I'm going to write it now too.

I was sad.

I'm going to say it twice.

I was sad.

I was sad.

Three words, I'm going to punctuate it.

Capital letter, I, was sad, full stop.

Let's have a look at that being written.

I, which is my high frequency word, was, which is a high frequency word, sad, s a, d, sad, full stop.

And if you've used another word there, that's okay, too.

I cried, I was upset.

She gobbled me up and burped.

I was sad.

Oh, poor porridge bowl.

Feel sorry for him and about his day.

Well done if you had a go at writing today.

You should be really proud of yourself.

Maybe you didn't get to do some writing today, and that's okay, because we'll be doing more in the next lesson.

Let's give ourselves a round of applause.

Well done everyone.

I wonder how the lesson was for you today children.

I wonder if you had a favourite part.

What was your favourite part of the lesson Cedric? Oh, Cedric loved singing our song at the beginning, our song when we recapped what happened to each character on the day Goldilocks went into the house.

Do you have a favourite part the lesson? It might have been singing like Cedric, it might have been doing our nursery rhyme.

It might have been the writing or drawing the picture.

Can you tell your teddy talk partner what your favourite part of the lesson was? My favourite part of the lesson was, and can you say why, and say because.

Oh, I really enjoyed those parts too.

Well done everyone, and we can't wait for the next lesson.

See you later.
