Our lesson today is called Food Across the Globe.

We will be exploring and discovering different foods from around the world.

I'm hungry already.

Let's see what we have in store.

Bonjour! Welcome to another session with me, Mrs. Mala.

I will be your teacher for today.

And in our lesson today, we're going to be thinking about how we are all the same but different.

Let's see how we are all the same but different today.

In today's lesson, you will need: slices of bread, tomato sauce, cheese, and some healthy toppings.

You will need help from a parent or carer to get your items. Pause the video and find your items. Come back soon.

Oh, my tummy's rumbling already.

Let's get started.

Oh, you caught me eating.

All this food is so hard to resist, but did you know all this food can be bought from the supermarkets today, but they actually come from all around the world? Let me explain.

Our world is a very big place with lots of different countries, and all of these countries are famous for different types of foods.

We have all these foods in our homes today, but a long, long time ago, we couldn't find all these foods in our homes, like noodles that come from China, pizzas that come from Italy, different types of bread that come from France, tacos that come from Mexico, we are famous for our English breakfasts, spicy curries that came from India, and sushi that have come from Japan.

These are but just a few.

There are many more foods from across the world that we eat in our homes.

In our country, the United Kingdom, we are famous for, can you guess? Fish and chips.

Fish and chips with mushy peas, fish and chips with curry sauce, fish and chips with beans, maybe.

Mm, delicious.

Alongside this, we are also famous for having the best English breakfasts with egg, bacon, tomatoes, some toast, maybe.

Is this your favourite? Great.

Tap the screen so I can see.

Wow, so many of you.

Let's move on.

Mexico.

Mexico are famous for their best tacos.

They're all very yummy with different ingredients inside.

Tap the screen if you've ever tried some tacos.

Wow.

So many of you.

It's one of my favourites.

Excuse me.

My belly is starting to rumble.

France.

France are famous for making the, baking the best breads, lots of different types of breads, baguettes, things that you could have with soup, maybe.

Alongside this, croissants are famous in France.

I love a good old, buttery croissant.

Tap the screen if you enjoy these, too.

Fantastic.

So many of you.

Let's keep moving.

Italy.

Italy are famous for their pizzas.

Is this your favourite? It's mine, too.

Italy have passed their recipe of pizza baking all around the world.

Now everybody can enjoy pizzas in their own homes.

Right, this is enough.

My belly can't take anymore.

I'm getting really hungry.

I need to choose something from my list to make.

Wonder what we could? I know! Pizza! Would you like to make some with me? Let's make some pizza.

To make your Italian pizza, you will need: slices of bread, some tomato sauce, grated cheese, and if you like, some healthy toppings, like sweet corn and peppers.

You choose your healthy topping.

The first thing you need to do is to get your tomato sauce, and with a spoon, very carefully, spread it onto your slice of bread, just like this.

Pause the video and have a go.

Making sure I get all the corners.

There we have it.

The next thing you need to do is add your cheese, if you don't want any toppings, but I'm going to be a little bit healthy today, and I'm going to add some sweet corn and some peppers.

These are my favourite.

Once you've done that, you can add your grated cheese on top.

Making sure you cover your bread.

With the help of a parent or carer, place your pizza into the oven and leave it on for 10 minutes.

Now it's your turn.

With the help of a parent or carer, the steps you need to take to make your pizza is to spread the tomato sauce onto your bread; add your healthy toppings; then your cheese; finally, bake in the oven for 10 minutes until your cheese has melted.

And enjoy your very own Italian pizza made in the comfort of your home.

Wow.

I don't think my belly's going to be rumbling for a while now.

That pizza was delicious.

Did you enjoy it? Great.

Now, there are some other foods that we could maybe try next time.

You could maybe try and create a spicy curry that has come all the way from India.

Or maybe some noodles.

Can you remember what country they're from? Yes, China.

How about some sushi? Yummy.

All the way from? Japan.

Excellent.

Hmm, I wonder what to make next time.

I wonder what food creations you will make next time.
