The choice of material used to make a product can affect its function and form.

Some people may have different opinions about whether the form of an object is good or not.

It is hard to design a product that has great function and form.

The term 'function' refers to the way a product looks.  If it doesn't function well, then it won't look good.

The term 'form' refers to the shape of an object or product.

The initial ideas that a designers has are their first thoughts.  These will be developed to become closer to what might become manufactured.
