- Hi, and welcome to today's lesson with me, Miss Waka.

Today's lesson will be about friendship.

Our learning objective is to know what makes a good friend.

Hello, and welcome to today's lesson.

I'm Miss Waka and I am going to be your teacher today.

What's your name? Oh, hi.

You enjoy flying? It's amazing to see the world, isn't it? I think there's so much more to see.

I have seen the beautiful skies and the wonderful trees and the flowers growing.

They smell divine.

I was just an egg.

then I slowly became a caterpillar.

Then I was so tired that I became a pupa.

And now I am nearly a fully-grown butterfly.

We have been on such an amazing journey together, I hope you've enjoyed learning about my journey becoming a butterfly.

Look at my wings.

They help me fly.

In today's lesson, you will need, your looking eyes, your listening ears, your talk-partner, Teddy, some paper, some scissors and some coloured pencils.

Pause the video and go and get the things that you need.

We all need to be good friends, but what is a good friend? And how can we be good friends? What do you think a good friend means? Talk to your talk-partner, Teddy, and pause the video.

So what makes a good friend? Wow, you do have some good ideas.

Smiling is a very good thing to do to be a good friend.

I have been asking some of my friends what they think a good friend is, Shall we take a look and see what you think? - A good friend shares their ice cream.

- A friend is somebody who's there for you when you're feeling a little bit down and maybe there to give you a bit of support, and maybe give you a hug.

- A good friend is somebody who's always got time for you and is always there to listen to your words.

- A friend is that, if you share some things with them, that means that you're a true friend to them and they're a true friend to you.

- A good friend is caring, kind and helpful.

- A good friend is someone who you can rely on.

- Good friend is loving.

- A good friend plays with you.

- A good friend helps.

- I have a special friend.

My special friend is Paige, because she always smiles and shares her toys with me.

She is a good friend, are you? To make your friendship bracelet, you will need some coloured pencils, pair of scissors, your piece of paper and the glue stick at the end.

First, you need to cut a strip of paper.

Be careful using scissors.

Now, if you remember, I am going to make this bracelet for my friend, Paige.

Paige starts with a p, p, p, sound.

Don't worry if you don't know it, just have a go.

Now my friend Paige is very smiley, so I'm going to draw a smiley face.

To make this my friendship bracelet, I need to roll it round like this and glue it together.

Get some glue.

And there we have it.

Beautiful friendship bracelet.

I would like you to have a go at making your special friend a special friendship bracelet.

You will follow the steps.

First, you will cut a strip of paper.

Try and write some of the sounds in your friend's name.

Then draw something your friend does.

Add lots of pictures and make it nice and colourful.
