Hello, my name is Miss Riaz.

What's your name? Well it's lovely to see you today, in today's lesson, we're going to be learning all about love, can you make a love heart, lovely.

Now, are we ready for our lesson? Should we get started? Let's start with wobbling head of ours.

Wobble, wobble, wobble.

Let's blink those eyes one, two, three, and pin that smile, fantastic let's go.

Let's start today's lesson by thinking about the term loved ones.

Do you know what it means? A loved one is someone you love very much.

And usually it's somebody who is in your family.

We all have loved ones.

I love my mom and dad and my brothers and sisters.

Can you think of somebody that you really love.

Have a think and after three, shout it out.

One, two, three.

You might love your mom and dad, your brothers or sisters.

Your baby, your grandma and granddad, your cat Snowy, and your dog Bruno.

We all have loved ones and loved ones are very very special to us.

Let's have a look at some pictures.

Family, grandparents, and pets are loved ones.

The story we're about read contains some references to death.

For some of you, this will be a sensitive topic.

If that applies to you, you may want to do the rest of this lesson with a trusted adult nearby you who can support.

Humans, start their life as babies in their mommy's tummies.

Babies are born and then they grow into children.

Children grow into adults and adults then grow into elderly people that's our circle of life as humans now at any time that circle of life can end.

That doesn't mean the love ends love is so strong that you can continue loving somebody.

Even when if they're not here.

I've got a lovely story to share with you.

Would you like to have a listen? Are you sitting comfortably? Today's story is called pond bugs and mayflies.

Have you ever seen a mayfly before? You haven't, mayflies are from the same family as dragonflies, they look very similar.

Deep down below the surface of a quiet pond, lived a group of water bugs.

They spent all day scurrying in and out of the soft mud, at the bottom of the pond, they all lived a happy and merry life.

They sound happy don't they? I wonder what games they played.

Can you think of any? Yes, I think they enjoyed playing tig and hide and seek every so often a pond bug would climb up a water lily root, right to the top and never return.

The other bugs were puzzled and wondered where their friend had gone.

Where do you think the water bug went? You might be right.

Let's find out and see.

No one knew where those pond bugs would go.

Everybody would wonder why they never came back.

Then one day, one of the pond bugs said, whoever goes up, the water lily root must come back and tell us where they go and why.

That's a good idea.

Not long after another bug started to climb up the water lily root up and up he went, when he got right to the top, he was exhausted and fell asleep on a lily pad when the water bug woke up, he was no longer a brown little water bug.

He was now a wonderful mayfly couldn't believe his eyes.

He quickly flexed his wings and he began to fly.

He flew through the air, doing loop the loops and he felt free.

It's an amazing feeling, turning from a bug, into a beautiful mayfly.

Then he remembered his friends and thought I need to go back down and see them.

He flew high above the pond and darted back down to get deep into the pond.

Suddenly smack! He hit the water and he realised he couldn't go back down.

He then had a thought.

If I go back, will anyone even recognise me? I've changed, I've changed a lot now.

I'll just wait here he thought, I'll fly around this lovely pond and wait for them to join me.

Did you enjoy that story? Yes, what do you think? Do you think the mayfly still loves the bugs at the bottom of the pond? Yes, he does.

And what's he decided to do now? He can't get back down.

So what's he going to do? Yes, he's going to wait for them.

Wait for them until they come up that waterlily root and join him and they'll fly around that beautiful pond.

Did you enjoy that? Loved ones leaving, does that mean they stop loving you.

The love lasts forever and those special moments and memories will always stay.

If you have a loved one that you really miss, it's important first to talk to a parent or carer, talk about your feelings and they will help you to understand what you're feeling and how to help you.

One thing you could do is send a message up in a balloon.

You could write a short message, something like miss you or love you always.

Put it in a balloon and send it high up into the sky.

Like in the story, your loved ones can't come back, but they will surely feel your love.
