In this unit pupils will discover how to write programs that ask questions and use selection to control the outcomes based on the answers given. They will design a quiz in response to a given task and implement it as a program. They will then evaluate their programs against given criteria.

Using selection in programming to develop a quiz

What is the purpose of a condition inside a loop?

In an if... then... else... statement, what happens if the condition is not met?

The program decides if it is True or False.

The True outcome is carried out if the condition is met.

The False outcome is carried out if the condition is not met.
