- Singing a song of soap.

We will be learning about how to keep our bodies clean.

One.

Two.

Oh, hello! Sorry, I didn't see you there.

I can get a little bit carried away.

I've just put these washed clothes away in the cupboard.

Mm, they do smell fresh.

There we go.

Welcome.

My name is Mrs. Mulla, if you haven't met me already.

Wonder what we're going to be cleaning today.

Oh, sorry.

Learning today.

Must get that right.

Shall we get started? Oh, I can't hear you.

Shall we start? I must get these ears cleaned.

Shall we get started? Yeah.

Okay, let's get started.

In today's lesson, you will need you're looking eyes and ears.

A favourite Teddy and your best singing voice.

Oh, my goodness! Look at the state of you! - I was having fun.

- [Mrs. Mulla] Oh, I'm sure you were.

Let's get you cleaned up.

- Why? I want to stay like this! - Is this a good way to stay children? You can't stay like this.

We need to get you cleaned up.

I think I've got a job on my hands today.

Don't you? Right.

Let me explain.

We must keep our body clean for good health.

Cleanliness gets rid of illnesses from our body and makes us feel fresh.

Remember, a healthy you is a happy you.

Having a dirty body, well, there will have been a time that you were not feeling well.

Can you remember what happened? Did you have some medicine? Or maybe you will have had to go to the doctors.

Well, keeping a clean body helps to fight the nasty bugs.

If you have a dirty body, then you will feel lethargic.

Can you say that word? Lethargic.

Great.

That means you don't want to do anything.

And you just want to laze around.

Having a dirty body means you will let off a stinky smell that others and yourself will not like.

Phewee.

Well, how can we keep our bodies clean? When something is dirty, what do we do? We wash it.

Yes.

The same way we wash things that are dirty, we need to wash our body, and it's different body parts with soap.

We need to clean different body parts like your eyes, and ears, and nose.

Apart from that, we need to make sure we trim those nails and get all that dirt off.

Now we know we need to wash to keep clean, how will we do this? With water.

That's right.

Look at my pictures.

Which type of water will you use to wash? One or two? Pause the video and tell Teddy.

That's right.

Number one.

We need to make sure we use clean, soapy water to wash our body.

This will help to kill the bugs and keep us clean and smelling fresh.

Washing.

It is good to take a bath every day.

Use soap and water to get clean.

To get rid of that dirt, you could use a small cloth.

Make sure you get to those hard to reach areas, and scrub, scrub, scrub.

There are some body parts that are a little bit more difficult to clean, and may need a parent or carer to help.

But I'm sure a lot of this can be done by yourself.

Like when you wake up in the morning, do you ever get sticky eyes? They're really hard to open.

I do.

Well, to get them clean, we need to wash them with clean water and get rid of all that sticky stuff.

That's right.

Tell me if you like listening to music.

Great.

Well, those ears need to get clean too.

With the help of a parent or carer, we need to get those ears cleaned so you can hear everything around you.

Achoo! Oh! Achoo! Bless me.

Oh, I'm finding it really hard to breathe and smell with my nose.

It must be something in the air.

Now to clean my nose, I need to use a tissue.

Yes.

That's another body part that we need to keep clean.

Don't be sticking your fingers in your nose.

When we are busy playing, we don't realise that the dirt gathers under our nails too.

How many do you have? Let's count them.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10.

10 nails on our hands.

But what about our feet? Oh, my goodness.

We need to count them too.

Can you tell me? 10 fingernails and 10 toenails, altogether that's 20.

That's a lot of nails to keep clean.

How can we do that? Yes, by trimming them.

But what could we use? A, a pair of scissors, a clipper or a nail clipper, or a knife? Pause the video and tell Teddy.

You are right! It's B, a nail clipper, that will safely cut our nails with the help of a parent and carer and keep us clean on both our hands and feet.

You see, this is how you get clean.
