Hello everyone, and welcome back to another lesson with me, Miss Sidenius.

Today, I'm really excited because we're going to be learning all about feelings and we're going to be making some puppets.

Let's see what we're going to do.

So we're going to start our lesson by describing some different feelings.

Then we're going to create some feeling puppets.

And finally, we're going to share these puppets with somebody in our household, a teddy, or a toy.

In this lesson, you're going to need four things, some paper, some pens or pencils, some sticks, and some tape.

Make sure you've got those four things.

Pause the video here and come back when you're ready.

Great job, everyone.

Star words, star words, star words! My turn, feelings.

Your turn, feelings.

Your feelings are your emotions.

They are how you feel inside.

We all have feelings, and our feelings can change lots of times, even in one day.

Can you have a think and tell me some different feelings that you have? Tell your screen.

I heard lots of different feelings.

I heard happy.

I heard sad.

I heard angry.

Very good.

We already know lots of different feelings.

Let's look at them in a bit more detail.

Now, on the screen, I've got a picture of a face, and it's showing an emotion, a feeling.

Can you shout out what you think it is? That's right, it's a happy face! This person is feeling happy.

How can you tell that this person is feeling happy? Tell your screen.

This person is feeling happy because they have a big smile on their face.

That's right.

Can you show me your happy face? Aw, it's so lovely to see all of your smiling faces.

Let's see if you can get the next one.

Ready? What do you think this one is? Hmm, have a think.

Tell your screen.

Now this one I thought could be two different things.

I think this person could be feeling scared or shocked.

How do we know this person is feeling scared? Hmm, their hair is standing up like this and their eyebrows have gone up they've got a big open mouth, so it's going like this.

Can you show me your scared face? Three, two, one, show me.

That's such a good scared face.

Well done.

Are you ready to tell me what the next feeling is? Ready? What do you think this one is? Tell your screen.

That's right, this person is feeling sad.

How do we know this person is feeling sad? That's right, its mouth is going down like this and the eyes are looking down as well.

This person doesn't want to look at anybody because they're feeling really sad.

Can you show me your sad face? Very good.

I hope you feel better soon.

Are you ready for the next one? What do you think this person is feeling? Mm, tell your screen.

This person is feeling angry.

You're right, this person is feeling angry.

How do we know this person is feeling really angry? Its eyebrows are going down like this, and it's got a big frown on its head.

It's got some frown lines there and its mouth is all small in the middle, looking really cross.

Show me your angry face.

Humph.

And even our voices change when we feel angry.

Goes lower and really short and cross.

Humph.

Good job, everyone.

You're getting so good at showing all of your different feelings.

Are you ready for the next one? Mm.

What could this one be? Have a think.

Tell your screen.

If you said excited, you were right.

This person looks very, very happy.

He or she has a really big smile on their face, like this.

They are feeling excited.

I wonder what they're excited about.

How can we tell when somebody's feeling excited? That's right, they'll have a really big smile on their face.

They might even jump around a little bit, like this, and get really excited about what they're doing.

Have you ever felt really excited for something? I get really excited when it's my birthday, do you? Yes, I thought you did as well.

What about this one? Hmm.

How do you think this person is feeling? That's right.

This person is feeling very tired.

Hmm.

It's really struggling to keep its eyes open.

It's very tired.

Can you show me your tired face? Very good, everyone.

Well done.

Now that we've learned about all those different feelings, we're going to have a go at making some of our own feeling puppets.

So I'm just going to show you how to make some of these.

You can choose which feelings you would like to make.

It's up to you.

So I'm going to draw a really big face for my feeling puppet so that you can see exactly what emotion is on the face.

What do you think I might be drawing? A happy face, that's right.

It's got a really big smile and two eyes that are really open and happy.

So, I've drawn a happy face with a little nose.

Pause the video here.

Draw your first puppet and come back when you're ready.

Well done, everyone.

Let's draw a different emotion this time.

Hmm.

I've done happy.

I think I'm going to do.

Let's see if you can guess.

A round face again.

And ooh, look.

Two eyebrows that are going down like this.

I think I know what it is already, do you? It's an angry face.

You're right.

Humph, an angry face.

Well done.

Pause the video here.

Make your second face and come back when you're ready.

So pause the video here, make your third face, and when you're finished, you can ask a parent or carer to help you cut out all of your three puppet faces.

Or you might choose to make some more.

It's up to you.

So finish your faces, cut them out, and come back when you're ready.

Brilliant, so we should have all of our puppets already cut out.

Now, I'm just using some sticks that I found in my garden, and I've got a bit of tape, and I'm sticking it to the back of my picture of my face, and I've made my puppet.

That was so easy.

So I'm going to do the same thing with my sad face.

Stick the stick on the back like that with some tape, turn it around, and I have another puppet.

Then I'm going to do my last one.

Got my piece of tape, stick on my stick, and there we have it.

I have my angry puppet as well.

So you can see I have all three of my puppets here.

Well done.

Pause the video here.

Stick your puppets onto the stick and come back when you're ready.

Amazing, so we've got all of our puppets just like this.

I've got my happy puppet, my sad puppet, and my angry puppet.

And look, I'm going to show you.

We can use them to play.

Hello, I am so happy.

I'm going to play at the playground today.

I'm going to meet my friend Tim.

Tim! I'm feeling really sad.

Why? Because somebody took my scooter at the park.

Oh Tim, I'm sorry.

I'll help you find it.

They went off to find the scooter at the park.

But, humph, I'm really angry.

I want that scooter, and I'm going to take it.

Dun dun dun.

What do you think will happen? I hope the angry puppet doesn't take the scooter.

So you can see that you can use your feeling puppets to act out little stories and play games with them.

And you can use them to tell people how you're feeling today.

So, how are you feeling today? Can you show me by using one of your puppets? It was so cool to see you using all of your different puppets, and we're all feeling so different today.

I'm going to show you my happy puppet because I'm feeling happy today.

Great job, everyone.

Well done for working so hard on another lesson again.

Make sure that you show somebody in your household, your teddy, or your toy your feeling puppets because I think they would love them.

And you can even ask them to tell you how they are feeling.

You could ask them, how are you today, and tell them to choose one of your puppets to show you how they're feeling.

I think that would be a really nice idea.

Have fun playing with your puppets.

See you next time.
