Hi, everyone, my name's Miss Toole, and this is Bear, and we love to create poems to help us remember certain topics.

Now in this unit, our topic is honey, and we have created a poem all about honey.

I was wondering if you'd like to learn the poem with us.

Okay, are you ready to listen to the words? Right, Bear, I'm going to sit you here while we say the words.

So the words go, honey is sweet, honey is fine, honey is delicious, and it's mine, all mine.

Do you think you could try them? We'll have a go at doing, I go, you go with the words, okay? Honey is sweet, honey is fine, honey is delicious, and it's mine, all mine.

Fantastic, Let's have a go at putting it all together.

Are you ready? One, two, three.

Honey is sweet, honey is fine, honey is delicious, and it's mine all mine.

What's that Bear? You want to add some actions to it? Does that help you remember the poem? Okay, let's have some actions to help us remember our poem.

So, we're going to go, honey is sweet.

Think you could do that, honey is sweet.

And then we're going to do, honey is fine.

Let's put them together.

One, two, three.

Honey is sweet, honey is fine.

And then what do you think we could do for honey is delicious? Ooh, yeah, let's rub our bellies.

Honey is delicious, and it's mine, all mine.

See if you could do that.

One, two three.

Honey is delicious on its mine, all mine.

Right, let's put all four together.

You ready? One, two, three.

Honey is sweet, honey is fine, honey is delicious, and it's mine, all mine.

Thank you for joining in with our poem.

I wonder if you could have a go writing your own poem all about honey.

Let's have a look at what we're going to be doing today.

We're going to start with a spelling activity focusing on the tricky words that we have been learning about this unit.

We're then going to recap our persuasive map and then using our persuasive map, we're going to box up the persuasive advert to help us write our own advert later on in this unit.

So, today you're going to need an exercise book or paper and pencil and your fabulous brain.

So pause the video now to go and get your resources, and press Play once you have them ready to go.

Today in spelling you're going to have a go at writing down our tricky words.

Now, can you remember why we called them tricky words? It's because we can't sound them out.

We just have to know they're words, and we just have to know them, so we look at them and we say them.

We look and we say.

Well, today I'm going to say them, and I want you to have a go at writing them down.

Now, remember, when you're writing them down, you can't sound them out, so you've just got to try and remember how to spell them.

I'll say the word, I'll give you some time to write it down, and then I'll show the word on the screen.

If you need a little bit more time, you can pause, but don't worry if not, okay? First word is "today", Have a go at writing the word, "today".

It is a beautiful day today.

Write down the word, "today" Let's have a look on the screen.

Today.

It's T-O-D-A-Y, today.

Have a look at what you've written down.

If it's correct, well done.

If you've made a little mistake, don't worry, because we're still learning, but I would like you to write the correct word next to it so you now know how to spell it, today.

Next one is, "the".

The honey is delicious.

The.

So, write me the word, "the".

Okay, let's have a look.

T-H-E, the.

Now, the same as before, have a look.

If it's not right, don't worry.

Write it down next to it correctly so then you'll learn how to spell it, and if it is right, well done.

Next word, "of".

Of.

Would you like a taste of my honey? Of.

So you're writing the word, of, down.

Of.

Let's have a look.

O-F, of.

O-F, of.

Well done.

Next word, "ask", ask.

Ask your friends about my delicious honey.

Ask.

Are you ready? Ask.

A-S-K, ask.

Remember that before? Check it.

If it's not right, it's fine, write it correct next to it If it is, well done.

Ask.

The next one, "was", was.

If today was Friday, we would be selling honey.

Was.

Write me the word was.

Are you ready? Let's have a look W-A-S, was.

W-A-S, was.

Check with what you've written down and do what you need to do whether correct it, or if you want to give yourself a little tip for getting it right.

Next one.

"Why", why why why? Why would you buy boring honey? When you could buy my delicious honey? Why Why.

Write it down.

Check it on the screen.

W-H-Y, why.

How about what you've written down? Do you need to make any corrections? If not, well done.

If you do that's fine, that's the way we learn.

Next one.

I.

I am a famous honey seller.

I.

I.

Are you ready? I.

Super.

And the last one is "my".

My honey is the best honey in town.

My, have a go at writing my down.

My.

M-Y, my.

Check what you've written down.

Check it with what's on the screen.

Well done for joining, and how do you feel about your spellings? Do you think you're starting to learn our tricky words or are there a few that you think you need to practise a little bit more at home with? If so don't worry keep practising them, and we're going to look at them through the rest of this unit.

Before we box up I would like us to recap our persuasive effort just so that we remember everything that we need to include in the box of process.

Now I have got my persuasive map with me to remind me of the different stages.

If you'd like to go and get yours that's fine pause the video now, And quickly go and get it.

And then when you come back, we'll go through our persuasive map.

Are you ready to get into the role of Dr.

Sweet? Hello everyone My name's Dr.

Sweet, and I am a honey seller.

Every Friday, I sell my jars of honey down at the farmer's market.

And this is what I say to people to get them to buy my honey! Roll up roll up, listen everybody! Come and buy my honey! Buy it with your money, It's really sweet and runny.

Put it in your tummy.

This is absolutely the best honey in town.

And let me explain why you should all buy it.

First, It's delicious.

My honey comes from bees next to a field of roses.

My honey tastes of roses! It is delicious! Second, it is famous! Show it to your friends and they will be impressed that you have such amazing honey.

They will respect you for buying my honey.

Third, it is great value.

You can buy one jar for five pound, or three jars for ten pound fifty! Hurry now before I run out of honey and you have to buy cheap boring honey from the super market.

Buy now before it's too late, Buy now and you will feel great! Buy now, don't dip the wrong way! Now that we have recapped our persuasive advert It's time to box it up Now can you remember the purpose of our persuasive advert? It's to persuade you to do something and to tell ya all the positive things of why you should do that So on the board I have that box of sheet and I'd like you to have a go at copying that down now onto your piece of paper So pause the video and copy it down And then when you've done press play I have know shared on the screen my box and I have put symbols next to each one introduction I've done an I taste I've done the mouth for reputation I have got our star value after the money and for the ending I've got our circle with the line through it we're going to use our persuasive map to help us to box up the information for each section So I'm starting with the introduction is going to go in that top line Now the introduction tells the reader what they are persuading them.

So we start off by introducing ourselves So I am Dr.

Sweets I'm just drawing a person and doing "dr" for doctor Now when you're doing your box you can draw pictures or you can write words it's up to you And Dr.

Sweet what does he sell? Introducing them to our honey So in our introduction and telling them who I am and what I want to persuade them to do, buy the honey And that's how musical symbols to tell them that we sing a song But then looking at section two which is the taste which is one of the reasons why we want them to do it why would persuade them to do it is taste So starting with the taste the first thing we find out is it's delicious So for delicious I'm doing a big smiley face So persuade them by telling them that it is delicious and then tell them why it's delicious So it's made by bees who are next to a field of roses So my honey tastes like roses So that's one of our first reasons why they need to buy our honey The second reason if we look back at our persuasive map is the reputation We tell everyone that is famous honey, for famous I'm doing a star with lots of shooting bits coming out of it because its a famous star So our honey is famous That's the second reason And if you buy famous honey and all your friends will be impressed so I'm doing my friends and I've written the word Wow Cause that's what I imagine my friends to do if they were impressed So that's telling me my next reason why I need to buy the honey The third reason why it's buy the honey is the value the value So it's great value so I drew a thumbs up and you can buy one for five pound or two 10 pound fifty I'm just writing down the value Like I said before you can do pictures, words or phrases to help you And then the ending gives us one more reason why they should buy our honey and summarises what we've told them So the last reason that we give them is they need to hurry So I've done someone running before it's too late We've run out of honey and they have to buy boring honey from the supermarket.

So I've written "boring" In that final section so that's how I have boxed up our persuasive advert.

And I want you to have a go now at boxing up on your own you can use some of the pictures I have or if you'd like to challenge yourself you can create your own pictures to represent what is happening in each section of our persuasive advert So remember we've got our introduction which tells us what we are persuading them to do We've got our three reasons why they should do it So we've got taste, reputation, and value And then our ending gives the final reason why they need to do what we are persuading them to do So why they need to buy our honey pause the video now and press play once you are done I wonder how did you find boxing up the persuasive advert I really enjoy breaking down our text into the different sections so I can really understand what I need to include when I'm writing my own version of that text Now to finish today I would like us to get into character again but this time we are becoming of the person who is receiving the honey So I want you to think about all the words we've used to describe our honey it's yummy in your tummy, It's sticky It's delicious, it's famous It tastes like roses and imagine somebody is giving you that honey And I want you to act like you would feel if someone was giving you that honey Now I know I would feel excited and desperate to try it So we're going to pretend that someone's giving me the honey and I'm going to show you how to react And then I'd like you to have a go at home Okay, are you ready? {miming opening honey jar} Could you see I was doing there I was sticking my finger to eat it and then it got really sticky in the air So I had to turn it around before I ate it and then it was yummy in my tummy Now you have a goal for someone is giving you the delicious honey how are you going to react.

Pause video now to have a go thank you for joining me in today's lesson And I can't wait to see you later on in this unit Bye for now say "bye" Bear.

Bye.
