Hi, everyone, you've got Miss Frost here, and welcome to lesson six on our unit, The Fox's Sack.

I loved seeing so many of you doing some artwork at home from lesson five.

I had a go at my own one with your help, and I loved seeing yours.

Today, we're going to see if we can do some hot seating so that we can find out all the different things that the characters do in our story, The Fox's Sack, and why they do them.

Let's see if you're going to need anything for today's lesson.

All you're going to need for today's lesson is your Teddy Talk Partner and your thinking brain.

If you need to go and find your Teddy Talk Partner, press the pause button now, and when you're ready, press play.

Coming up in today's lesson, me and Teddy and you and your Teddy Talk Partner are going to start off by playing a game together.

We are then going to do some singing, and then it will be time to do our hot seating activity today.

Our game today is called Tell and Mime.

I am going to have a go at telling you a line from the story.

You and your Teddy Talk Partner at home and my Teddy Talk Partner here are going to have a go at acting out the story.

Let's start by doing our first one together.

So I'm going to say a part of the story.

We are going to mime it together.

Remember, miming is when you don't say any words, you just use your actions.

Then, we'll do a swap, and I will say parts of the story.

You can pause your screen, and then act it out.

Are you ready? So the one we're going to do together is, "She tiptoed to the sack.

"She opened it up, and out buzzed a bee." Do you think we can act that out together? Are you ready, Teddy? So, "She tiptoed to the sack." Can you tiptoe, either with your hands, or if you've got space, you could have a go at tiptoeing.

"She tiptoed to the sack.

"She opened it up, and out buzzed a bee." Bzzz.

Do you think we can do it once more without using any words? Are you ready to help me? Fantastic acting! Teddy, what did you think of our acting today? Teddy loved our miming.

He said he loved all of the different actions that you all did at home.

Well done.

Now that we've had a go at doing one together, we are going to use the pause button.

I am going to say a line.

You are going to press the pause button, and mime that part of the story.

Press play when you're ready.

You got your listening ears on? I would like you to mime the part of the story where, "She tiptoed over to the bag.

"She slowly opened the bag, and out jumped a pig.

"The little boy chased the pig away." Do you think you can mime that part of the story for me? "She tiptoed to the bag.

"She opened the bag, and out jumped a pig.

"The little boy chased the pig away." Press the pause button, and when you've done your miming, press the play button.

So many of you had such different ideas for how to mime that part of the story, but you all made it so clear what the action was and what was happening.

So, well done! Teddy and I would now like you to press the pause button and have a go at thinking of a part of the story and challenging your Teddy Talk Partner to mime the story.

See how many different parts you can do.

Press the pause button when you're ready to do your miming, and press the play button when you are ready to start back with our learning.

Wow, you have had such a good go with your Teddy Talk Partners at telling the story and miming the story.

Well done.

I really hope you enjoyed that game.

Maybe you can teach it to someone in your family later.

We are now ready to learn the third verse in our story song for this unit.

So we're going to do my turn, then your turn, so you can get the hang of the words.

Are you ready to join in? ♪ The fox was feeling very hungry ♪ ♪ The fox was feeling very hungry ♪ ♪ He opened the sack ♪ ♪ And said come to me ♪ ♪ He opened the sack ♪ ♪ And said come to me ♪ ♪ The dog jumped out ♪ ♪ And bit his hand ♪ ♪ The dog jumped out ♪ ♪ And bit his hand ♪ ♪ The fox ran away ♪ ♪ Across the land ♪ ♪ The fox ran away ♪ ♪ Across the land ♪ ♪ The dog caught him up ♪ ♪ And bit his tail ♪ ♪ The dog caught him up ♪ ♪ And bit his tail ♪ ♪ The fox was sad ♪ ♪ And feeling frail ♪ ♪ The fox was sad ♪ ♪ And feeling frail ♪ Well done for joining in with the third verse of our story song this unit.

We're going to be singing the whole song in less than seven, so make sure you join in then.

It's now time to have a go at our hot seating activity.

So we are going to welcome our visitor, because today we are going to be thinking of questions to ask Mr. Fox.

So Teddy is going to be asking the questions, and Mr. Fox is going to be answering them.

Okay, Teddy is ready with his first question for Mr. Fox.

Teddy says why did you have a sack? Let's see what Mr. Fox says.

I needed a huge sack, because I wanted to go and get lots and lots and lots and lots of food from all of those silly people.

I tricked them, you see, by getting them to look inside my sack when they were looking after it.

I knew that when they looked inside, the animals would jump out, and then I could take their bigger animal when they lost mine, and then I would get lots and lots and lots of food.

Ooh, Teddy's got another question for the fox, now.

Teddy wants to know, why did Mr. Fox want to trick the people? So I could get more food to eat, obviously.

How else would a fox get food? Oh, Teddy's got another question to ask us.

Oh, Teddy says, Mr. Fox, the people were very upset that you tricked them.

Couldn't you think of another way to get some food? Oh, well, I didn't mean to upset anyone.

I mean foxes are not really liked by people, you see.

People normally stay away from me, and I don't really know how else to get food.

I mean, I guess I could be nice to the people, and then maybe they would help me.

Maybe I could ask them to help me.

What do you think? I really didn't mean to upset them.

Now that you have watched Teddy and the fox having a go at hot seating, I wonder if you and your Teddy Talk Partner can have a go at thinking of some questions to ask the different characters in the story.

You might want to think of some more questions to ask Mr. Fox.

You might want to ask one of the ladies a question, or even one of the animals that Mr. Fox tries to take.

So, press the pause button, have a think of your questions and what the characters might answer, and then press the play button when you're ready.

Wow, me and Teddy have heard some fantastic questions today.

They are all amazing ways of finding out more about what happens in this story.

So, well done, if you and your Teddy Talk Partner had a go together.

Teddy and I have loved working with you today thinking of all those amazing questions that you came up with to ask the characters from the story.

Thank you so much for helping us.

It's the end of lesson six now, but we can't wait for lesson seven, where we're going to be doing some activities about the different characters in the story.

And remember, we're going to be singing the whole of our story song.

So make sure you come back to join us for that.

See you next time.

Bye!.
