Hi everyone.

It's Miss Frost here, and welcome to lesson seven in our units, 'The Fox's Sack.

' In lesson six we had ago, of meeting the fox and asking him lots and lots of questions.

And I know that lots of you had to go with asking some different characters from the story, questions as well.

One of the most popular questions that I had, was asking the ladies, ' Why did they look in the sack?' And asking the lady at the end, the forth lady, 'Why she did not look in the sack?' They were some fantastic questions, and I wonder if you could think some answers to those questions as well.

Coming up in today's lesson, we going to be thinking some more about the characters from the story.

We going to describe what they do.

We going to draw some pictures of them, and we're going to do some writing.

So, let's see what you're going to need for today's lesson.

For today's lesson, you're going to need a piece of paper and a pencil.

You're going to need your Teddy Talk Partner.

And you're going to need your thinking brain.

If you need to go and get any of those things now, press the pause button, and when you're ready, press play.

We're going to start off by playing a game with our Teddy Talk Partners today, then we're going to sing our story song.

Then we're going to have a think about who the characters are in our story.

And we are going to write about the characters.

Let's start off by playing a game.

For our game today, we're going to need on Teddy Talk Partners, because our game is called 'Tell me more.

' You might've played this game before.

What happens, is one person is going to talk about something, that Teddy Talk Partner that is going to ask them, to tell me more.

Let's see if we can play it together.

So, we're going to start off.

I'm going to talk about something that I've seen today.

And Teddy is going to ask me more.

Today, I saw a Fox knocking on someone's door.

Tell me more about the fox.

Okay, Teddy, he had a huge sack with him.

Teddy says, "Tell me more about the sack." It was big and yellow, and it had a buzzing noise coming from inside it.

Do you see, how me and Teddy had to go at playing 'Tell me more?' Maybe later on you can have a go at playing it with someone at home.

We're going to have a go at singing our story song, the whole way through now.

We going to do my turn, your turn for the whole song, so that you can join in all of the words and all of the actions.

♪ Well done, you have sung the whole of our story song.

I really hope that this can help you to remember what happens at the different parts of the story.

Now, we're going to have a think about the different characters in the story.

And we're going to choose one character to write about.

I wonder if you can tell your screen, one of the characters that's in our story, 'The Fox's Sack.

' Can you remember, who is in our story? First of all, we meet Mr. Fox, he's our main character.

Who else can you think of? We also met the grizzly dog at the end of the story.

What did the grizzly dog do? Can you tell your screen now? The grizzly dog, bit the Fox's hand and bit the Fox's tail.

He chased him into the forest, didn't he? We also have the ladies at the houses.

The ones that looked in the sack.

And, we have the lady who made the biscuits.

What was different about the lady who made the biscuits? Did she look in the sack? She didn't look in the sack, did she? She was the lady who then, put the dog in the sack.

We're now ready to write our word.

But before we write it, we need to remember what we do.

So, when we're writing, we start off by; saying the word.

Then we're going to robot the word, and then we're ready to, write the word.

Very good.

Let's see if we can get a piece of paper and have a go at writing our word.

So, we are going to start off by having a think about our favourite characters in the story.

My favourite character is the Fox.

Can you tell your screen who your favourite character is? Lots of you liked the lady who looked in the bag.

Lots of you liked the little boy who chased the pig away and who got put in the sack.

And loads of you like the grizzly dog.

When you come to do your writing later on, you can draw which ever character you would like.

We're going to have a go at drawing the Fox, first of all though.

I'm going to start off and I'm going to have a go to drawing the Fox's face, I have got his bushy ears.

Two bushy ears.

And he has got fairy cheeks.

He has got a long nose.

With a shiny black circle on the end.

He has got big dark eyes.

Two big dark eyes.

His body, is quite long, isn't it? And he's got a bushy tail.

He's got four legs.

I wonder, what your pictures are going to look like, I can't wait to see them.

There we go.

There's our front legs.

Maybe Mr. Fox is taking a step out.

You can spend a little bit more time on your pictures than I have.

I have done a quick picture.

Because I really want to think about our writing as well today.

So we have drawn our lovely character, Mr. Fox.

And now we're going to have a think about what Mr. Fox does in the story.

Can you tell your screen one thing that Mr. Fox does? I can think, Mr. Fox, puts the bee, in his sack.

Let's get our story map.

Can you tell me one thing that Mr. Fox does? Mr. Fox, puts the chicken in the sack.

Mr. Fox tricks people.

He is sneaky.

I think I'm going to write something that Mr. Fox does a lot.

He plays lots of tricks.

So, tricks.

What do we need to do with my writing? We, say the word, robot the word, write the word.

Can you say it with me.

Tricks T-R-I-C-K-S.

Tricks.

Very good.

So, my first letter is T The 'CK' in tricks is our digraph.

C and K, two letters that make one sound, TRICKS.

Let's check that we've written the right word.

T-R-I-C-K-S.

TRICKS.

The Fox plays lots of tricks.

Thank you so much for helping me with that piece of writing.

So now that we have had a go and making a picture together of our favourite character, and a thinking of how to describe what that character does in our story.

I would love it if you can get your piece of paper, and your pencil and have a go at drawing your own character from the story.

I would like you to think of some lovely words to describe what that character does.

So if you pick the grizzly dog at the end, what kind of things could you write about the grizzly dog? What does the grizzly dog do? Can you tell your screen now? The grizzly dog, tell me what he does.

The grizzly dog bites.

The grizzly dog barks.

The grizzly dog runs.

Those are all amazing things that you could write.

Can you think of some special words to describe the ladies who look in the bag? How were they feeling? They were feeling and a little bit nervous, a little bit worried, weren't they.

So, pick your favourite character, draw a picture of them.

And then, you can write a word, a sentence, or maybe even more than a sentence, to tell us what that character does in the story.

I can't wait to see your lovely writing.

Press the pause button now, and when you've drawn your picture, and written your word, press the play button.

Wow, you have a little had a go at doing so many different characters from the story.

Well done.

Getting a big thumbs up, because you have tried so hard.

We have now come to the end of lesson seven on our units, 'The Fox's Sack.

' Thank you so much for your help today.

I could not have written those words without you.

You must join us back for lesson eight, because I'm going to need your help.

Me and Teddy are going to be writing the beginning of the story, 'The Fox's Sack.

' We're definitely going to need all of your lovely ideas, to help us write the story.

I can't wait to see you then, have a lovely day.

Bye.
