Hello, I'm Adam and this is Panda.

And there is a reason why I'm dressed as a sailor today.

Here's the agenda.

And so the first thing we'll do today, we'll warm ourselves up with singing a song which has some actions to it.

And that will get us in the mood for going to sea and our recycled story of Panda and her leaky boat.

So, all we all need today is someone to tell our story to.

And that of course could be your talk teddy.

Our Panda thought because we're going to sea in the story, we should learn a song all about going to sea.

So I'm going to sing you the tune first, and then we'll do it again with the actions.

Here we go.

You may know it already.

It goes like this.

♪ A sailor went to see see see ♪ ♪ To see what he could see see see ♪ ♪ But all that he could see see see ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue see see see.

♪ Well its the tune, but now we're going to go chop, chop, chop.

♪ A sailor went to chop chop chop ♪ ♪ To see what he could chop chop chop ♪ ♪ But all that he could chop chop chop ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue chop chop chop ♪ Knee knee knee.

♪ A sailor went to knee knee knee ♪ ♪ To see what he could knee knee knee ♪ ♪ But all that he could knee knee knee ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue knee knee knee ♪ Now it's tricky.

All three together.

♪ A sailor went to see chop knee ♪ ♪ To see what he could see chop knee ♪ ♪ But all that he could see chop knee ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue see chop knee ♪ Should do it with the actions.

Will put my guitar down.

So we'll go.

A sailor went to see see see, A sailor went to chop chop chop and a sailor went to knee knee knee.

Here we go.

If you wanted to, you could stand up to do this.

Okay? ♪ A sailor went to see see see ♪ ♪ To see what he could see see see ♪ ♪ But all that he could see see ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue see see see ♪ ♪ A sailor went to chop chop chop ♪ ♪ To see what he could chop chop chop ♪ ♪ But all that he could chop chop chop ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue chop chop chop ♪ ♪ A sailor went to knee knee knee ♪ ♪ To see what he could knee knee knee ♪ ♪ But all that he could knee knee knee ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue knee knee knee ♪ ♪ A sailor went to see chop knee ♪ ♪ To see what he could see chop knee ♪ ♪ But all that he could see chop knee ♪ ♪ Was the bottom of the deep blue see chop knee.

♪ You can't go wrong when you sing a song.

And now to the main challenge of the lesson today, and the entire unit, you are going to tell this new story all by yourself, but don't worry, not just yet.

We're doing two more things to practise before we do.

And the first one is that we're going to tell the story together.

So remember we have mapped the story and you might have your map where you can see it.

We'll step the story with actions, and now we're going to put it all together.

And I'm going to tell the story with actions and I'm inviting you to try and join in and say out loud, if you can, the words with me.

Should we give it a try? Here we go.

Hands together, because we're going to start aren't we? By going, once upon a time, here we go.

Once upon a, there was a panda, but the panda had a problem.

She had a leaky boat.

So she went to visit her friend the crab up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down.

And when she got to the island, she saw her friend the crab.

Crab, I've got a problem, I've got a leaky boat.

Hmm.

Says crab.

You need a cow.

A cow? Says Panda.

She went up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves and up the waves and down.

And when she got home, she got herself a cow.

The cow got in the boat.

The boat could hardly float, splish, splash splosh.

when the cow in the boat, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves and up the waves and down.

And when she got to the island, she saw her friend, the crab.

Crab, I've got a problem.

I've got a leaky boat.

You've got a leaky boat? said the crab.

Then you need an a lamb.

A lamb? She went up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves up the waves and down.

And when she got home, she got herself a lamb.

The lamb got in the boat.

The boat could hardly float, splish, splash splosh.

When the lamb in the boat, she went up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves and up the waves and down.

And when she got to the island, she saw her friend, the crab.

Crab, I've got a problem.

I've got a leaky boat.

You've got a leaky boat? You need to get a donkey.

I need to get a donkey? Up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves and up the waves and down.

When she got home, she got herself a donkey.

The donkey got in the boat.

The boat could hardly float, splish, splash, splosh.

When the donkey in the boat up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves and up the waves and down.

And when she got to the island, she saw her friend, the crab.

Crab, I've got a problem.

I've got a leaky boat.

You've got a leaky boat? You don't need a cow.

You don't need a lamb.

You don't need a donkey.

You just need a bucket to scoop out all the water.

Up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves, up the waves and down the waves and up the waves and down.

When she got home, she gave all the animals back to the farm.

And she took a bucket, and she scooped out all the water, and she sailed away on her boat for a year and a day, I think we're nearly ready to tell the story but there's one more thing I'd like you to do to practise.

Do you remember when we told the story of the noisy house without speaking, and we just use actions and said the words in our head? Do that with me now and we'll see if this helps you tell the story.

So we're only going to do the actions.

We're not going to speak.

So it's going to be very, very quiet.

Here we go.

Could you follow the story in your head? Remember, words in the head are still said.

So now is the challenge.

I'm going to pause the video and I'd like you to tell the story of the leaky boat to somebody, a carer or a friend, or your talk teddy.

I'm going to pause the video now and I'll speak to you after you've tried.

Good luck.

So how was that? Did you tell the story? even if you didn't use all the words and you used a lot of actions, you still told a story and it was a new story, a story that was made up, recycled from the story of the noisy house.

And now that story has been told well.

♪ I told you a story ♪ ♪ Word by word ♪ ♪ That story is very happy ♪ ♪ 'Cause it has been heard ♪ Stories are meant to be heard.

So my challenge to you is to tell that story to somebody else and they will love it.

And that brings us to the end of this unit using the story of the noisy house and playing with it and changing it.

And the next unit is going to be with a new story.

One of our favourite stories.

You'll find out soon.

Keep on listening to new words and trying new words out and telling your stories.

And we look forward to seeing you in the next unit.

Okay.

Goodbye.
