Hi everyone, my name is Ms Toole and this is Bear.

And we have really enjoyed exploring a persuasive advert in this unit.

And we can't wait to retell our own persuasive advert today.

Let's have a look at what we are going to be doing today.

We're going to have our final session of our tricky words spellings.

We're going to reread our new persuasive advert.

And then we're going to perform our persuasive advert.

So, today you'll need a piece of paper, you either can have lines or plain, a pencil, and your brain.

So pause the video now to go and get your resources.

And then once you've got them press play to start.

Before we start our spellings, I'd like us to sing our chocolate cake song again.

And we're going to add little bit extra on to the end.

So if you can remember it went ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Don't you just love my chocolate cake ♪ Should we have a go at doing that bit together first to recap our memories? So, are you ready? One, two, three.

♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Don't you just love my chocolate cake ♪ Perfect.

Now the next bit we'll do I go, you go, so that you learn it.

So it goes ♪ It's sweet and good like chocolate pud ♪ Can you say that? ♪ It's sweet and good like chocolate pud ♪ And we are going to rub our belly.

♪ It's sweet and good like chocolate pud ♪ So it goes ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Don't you just love my chocolate cake ♪ ♪ It's sweet and good like chocolate pud ♪ So I'll go then you go.

You ready? ♪ It's sweet and good like chocolate pud ♪ Shall we add it all together and join in? One, two, three.

♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Don't you just love my chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Sweet and good like chocolate pud ♪ And then we do the beginning bit at the end.

And we go ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Don't you just love my chocolate cake ♪ Yeah, okay lets have a go doing it all together.

One, two, three.

♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Don't you just love my chocolate cake ♪ ♪ It's sweet and good like chocolate pud ♪ ♪ Oh chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Chocolate cake ♪ ♪ Don't you just love my chocolate cake ♪ Thank you for joining in and I hope you enjoyed our song.

Have a go at home and see if you can create a song all about chocolate cake.

We're going to have a quick recap of our tricky words before we move on to our activity.

Now, can you remember why we call them tricky words? It's because we can't sound them out, we just have to know them.

So we're going to look and say, look and say really quickly.

So are we ready? Of, of, was, was, ask, ask, I, I, my, my, why, why, the, the, today, today.

Now I want you to have a go at putting the words into your own sentences.

So I've put them on the screen for you.

So if you pause the video now, have a go at putting them into your own sentence and then press play once you've done that.

So for example, you could say "The chocolate cake was delicious." So I've got "the" and "was".

Now remember when you're writing sentence you need to have a capital letter at the beginning.

And when you finish you need to put your full stop.

So "The chocolate cake was delicious." That would be an example of a sentence.

So off you go.

For this next part you are going to need your copy of our new persuasive advert for the chocolate cake.

We're going to quickly read it to familiarise ourselves.

And then once we've done that and checked it all makes sense we're going to perform it on our character as well, we will conduct tasting, and you will become whatever character you have decided to be.

So I will reread mine and then I would like to pause it and have a go at doing yours at home.

Hello everyone, my name is Dr Tasty.

I am a chocolate cake baker, every Friday I sell my chocolate cake at the bakers market.

Roll up, roll up, listen everybody come and buy my tasty cake.

I can guarantee it won't give you a belly ache.

I would like to take your money.

Trust me the cake is yummy.

This is absolutely the best cake ever.

And let me explain why you should buy it.

First it is magical, the chocolate is made from cocoa beans grown next to an enchanted forest, my chocolate tastes of fairy dust.

Second it is famous.

Show it to your family and they will all be really envious.

Third it is great value.

You can get one slice for £3 or a whole cake for £10.

Hurry now before all the slices are gone and you are stuck with plain cake.

Buy now, you won't feel dull.

Buy now you'll definitely feel full.

Buy now and enjoy a mouthful.

Okay, pause the tape and have a go practising at home.

And then when you've done, press play to carry on.

Now that you have already been told your new persuasive advert, we're going to have a go at standing up and performing it.

Now you will need some space around you.

So check with an adult to make sure it's safe, but then get up and let's get really into character.

Now that we've already be told about our persuasive advert we want to have a go at performing it, and really getting the listener to want to buy our chocolate cake.

Because remember that the whole purpose of persuasive advert is to persuade somebody to do it.

Now it's not the only by what you say, but also how you say it.

So when you become the character you need to change your voice.

'Cause if we just try and persuade somebody like "Come and buy our chocolate cake, "it's really good." They're not really going to want to buy it, so we've got to use our voice as well to persuade them.

So I'll model using my example and then what I'd like you to do is pause the video and have a go at home of really selling your chocolate cake and performing your persuasive model in the role of your doctor.

So are we ready? Hello everyone, my name is Dr Tasty, and I'm a chocolate cake baker.

Every Friday I sell my chocolate cake down the bakers market.

Roll up, roll up, listen everybody, come and buy my tasty cake.

I can guarantee you won't get bellyache.

Did you see, what did there? I used my voice to really persuade the listener to buy my chocolate cake.

So have a go at home, pause the tape and see where you get to.

Did you enjoy retelling your persuasive advert? Bear and I have really enjoyed this unit and getting into the different characters to try and sell the honey and now the chocolate cake.

And I would like you to reflect on what has been your favourite part of this whole unit? My favourite part has been thinking about the chocolate cake and creating our own persuasive advert all about chocolate cake.

Can you say the full sentence what your favourite part was Bear? My favourite part was, well Bear says his favourite part was creating the honey poster to try and sell our honey pot to our reader and listing all the different adjectives.

Can you say at home to your screen what your favourite part of this unit has been, and can you say it in a full sentence? My favourite part is.

We are going to finish on our chocolate cake song, but before we do, I'm going to set you some challenges.

Now that we have created our own persuasive advert for chocolate cake, see if you can create a poster at home for your chocolate cake.

Thinking about all the adjectives that we created and even more, if you'd like another challenge, have a go at creating a different persuasive advert for a brand new item in your house.

So think about it.

Look at our toolkit, all the things we created to make a persuasive advert and have a go creating your own.

Now to finish, we are going to sing our chocolate cake song.
