Hello, everyone, it's Miss Doherty.

Today we're going to be recycling a persuasive piece.

If you've been in my earlier lessons, you will have heard the piece who will buy my gingerbread, which was all about us trying to convince trying to persuade somebody to buy our gingerbread.

Now today we're going to think about persuading someone to buy something else.

So you can start to have a think now.

Hmm, what would I be very good at persuading somebody to buy? In this lesson, you will need an exercise book or paper, your pencil and of course your brain.

You can pause the video now while you go and get those things.

What's your favourite food? I think mine is.

I have lots.

But one of my favourite foods is banana bread.

I'm going to draw a picture of a banana bread.

Can you pause your video and draw a picture of your favourite food? I've drawn a picture of one of my favourite foods, banana bread, and I've drawn a banana extract.

Because I wasn't sure you could tell my banana bread was a banana bread.

I've also written some words, I've written one of the ingredients banana, and I've described it.

Can you read this with me? Remember when we read we look at the letters make the sound blend the sounds together.

S-w-ee-t! Sweet.

That's right.

It tastes sweet.

And now we can think about how it feels.

It feels M-oi-st! Moist, well done.

It feels moist.

You should have drawn a picture of your favourite food.

But if you're feeling really, really like working hard.

Pause your video now and try adding some words to describe your favourite food.

Just like I have.

In today's lesson, we're going to sing a nursery rhyme, complete a writing task, and then we will tell our recycled piece.

♪There were five in the bed and the little one said ♪ ♪ I'll persuade you, I'll persuade you ♪ ♪ So they all listened carefully to the introduction ♪ ♪ As she told them what she wanted ♪ ♪ There were five in the bed, and the little one said ♪ ♪ I'll persuade you, I'll persuade you ♪ ♪ So they all listened carefully ♪ ♪ As she described the ingredients ♪ ♪ And what it tasted like ♪ ♪ There were five in the bed and the little one said ♪ ♪ I'll persuade you, I'll persuade you ♪ ♪ So they all listened carefully to her exaggerating ♪ ♪ What to Silly Billy But it's funny ♪ ♪ There were five in the bed and the little one said ♪ ♪ I'll persuade you, I'll persuade you ♪ ♪ So they all listened carefully to her explain ♪ ♪ What they needed it for so many options ♪ ♪ There were five in the bed, and the little one said ♪ ♪ I'll persuade you, I'll persuade you ♪ ♪ So they all listened carefully ♪ ♪ As she concluded that means she summarised ♪ ♪ And she finished ♪ Our old persuasive piece was who will buy my gingerbread.

My new persuasive piece is going to be who will buy my banana bread because I love banana bread.

Now, banana bread and gingerbread are both foods.

So some of the things might be the same, but they're very different.

So we're going to have to change lots of the piece.

Now have a think about what you are going to write to your persuasive piece about.

Have you got an idea? Brilliant.

I'm going to show you how I am going to plan my persuasive piece and then you will be able to plan yours.

Let's have a go at recycling the text.

Now, our introduction can stay largely the same because we can still start by saying lots of children like yourself, love eating good food.

Are you hungry now? Have you ever been hungry? Well, I have the product for you.

Introducing my banana bread and then I'll draw my little picture of my banana bread.

What really matters is that I know it's meant to be banana bread, even if someone else were to look at it not really know.

And then I can say how amazing it is.

And I can ask the question who will buy my banana bread? Now I need to describe my banana bread.

When we were describing the gingerbread, we started off by listing the ingredients.

So we know one of the ingredients in banana bread is a banana.

We're going to need some flour.

And we're going to need some sugar.

They look very similar, and we're definitely going to need an egg in our banana bread as well.

Or in my banana bread, I do use an egg.

Now I can stop to think about those words.

So I did also describe it as moist.

So I'm going to draw a droplet of water.

Described it being moist, and I also said it was sweet.

What picture could I use to show that its sweet I love sweet things.

So I might just draw a smiley face to say that is sweet.

Next, it's our time to exaggerate.

Let's have a think.

What could I exaggerate, I could definitely still say that it's the best banana bread in the world, which is an exaggeration, So I just draw my recept then I number one for the best banana bread in the world.

And I could say that eating my banana bread will give you superpowers.

Let's see, what could I do for superpowers I might be a star.

Your superstar give you superpowers.

Now, what's the purpose of my banana bread? With the gingerbread we spoke about making your very own gingerbread friend.

And we also spoke about a gingerbread Alien.

A gingerbread zebra.

A gingerbread house.

Can't really do any of those things with banana bread.

But you can share it with your friends.

And you could have it at a party.

Couldn't you? To draw my party hats.

Share it with your friends, you can have a party, and you can even have it with a cup of tea can have your banana bread with a cup of tea.

I'd love some banana bread now.

Now our conclusion is going to be us saying, we're going to summarise that means we're going to go back and revisit all of the points and think about them.

So we're going to remind everyone that it is the best and that we know that they are going to love it.

And I really love that line.

It's going to be yummy in your tummy.

So we can keep that line.

Going to be yummy in your tummy.

I know that you will love it.

And then we'll finish by saying who will buy my banana bread? Now it's your turn to plan your very own persuasive piece.

Is yours going to be about banana bread? Or is it going to be about something different? Maybe your favourite food is pizza? Or perhaps your favourite food is.

What else could it be cheese, or your favourite foods could be samosas or your favourite food could be jelly beans, or your favourite food could be apples or apple pie.

There are so many yummy food so you choose your favourite, and plan out a persuasive piece just like we've done together.

Pause the video now to complete your task.

Looking at your boxed up persuasive piece.

Can you now tell the persuasive piece to somebody? Perhaps it could be a teddy talk partner if you have one nearby or somebody in your house.

Hmm, how will I persuade this gingerbread man to buy my banana bread? Pause the video now to complete your task.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work today.

I can't wait to see you next time.

Bye bye.
