Hi everyone, it's Miss Doherty.

Today, we're going to sing the story with a focus on setting.

In this lesson, you will need an exercise book or paper and a pencil.

We're going to start today's lesson by singing a nursery rhyme and then we'll sing the settings.

♪ Today, we're going to be singing the settings in the story.

And the story we've been learning is Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

There are a few different settings in the story.

At the beginning, we start off learning about a cottage that's in a deep dark forest.

And we go into the cottage and we see their kitchen and then we see their chairs which may be in a living room, and finally we go upstairs to the bedroom.

So those are all of the settings, the different places in the store.

And what we're going to do today is sing a song about the settings.

So I'm going to sing a line then we're going to sing a line together.

♪ Now, we're going to do some writing.

And we're just going to focus on that first verse.

Let's sing that first verse one more time.

♪ We're going to write down the three adjectives that we've used to describe the forest and they are dark, green, and deep.

Dark, green and deep.

Now, if you find writing words is something you can do quite easily, you could write the full verse, you could write, the forest is dark, the forest is green, the forest is deep, but we're just going to write one of the words together to get you started.

So the first word we're going to write is dark.

When we're writing, we say the word, robot the word, write the word.

Say the word with me, dark, let's robot the word d-ar-k, dark, fantastic.

Now, I'm going to be writing on here without a line, but I will try my hardest to keep my writing nice and neat.

d- ar-, and to make that -ar- sound, I'm using an -a- and an -r-, a-r- makes -ar- d-ar-k d-ar-k, dark.

So you've got two more words that you need to write unless you're writing the sentences and then you've got even more.

Those words are green, and deep.

Let's say them and robot them together.

Green, say it with me, green g-r-ee-n, green.

So you're going to write green and you're also going to write deep, say the word deep, -d-ee-p- deep.

Now, it's your turn to do some writing.
