In this unit, pupils extend their knowledge of two-verb structures as modal verbs with dependent infinitives are introduced.  'Devoir' 'vouloir' and 'pouvoir' in singular persons are taught so pupils can express what they want to, have to and can do on holidays. SSCs -ien and -tion are revisited.

Summer activities: modal verbs in two-verb structures

Put the French words in order for the sentence 'I can't find the answer'.

Add the missing French word for the sentence 'Sir, are you Algerian, do you come from Algeria?' Monsieur, êtes-vous {{}}, vous venez d'Algérie ?

Translate the sentence 'Do you want to go to the match next week?' using an inversion question.
