In this unit, pupils have learned how to use fronted adverbials of time in sentences within a non-chronological report. In 'School Trip: Recount', pupils will build on this by using the skill within a different text type, a recount. 

In 'Atinuke and other authors: Information Text', pupils learned how to group information into relevant paragraphs to make it easier for the reader to navigate. In this unit, pupils will build on that skill by applying it to a different form on non-fiction writing, a non-chronological report.  

In this unit, pupils write a non-chronological report in three paragraphs about nocturnal animals. Pupils use two research lessons about bats and hedgehogs as the starting point for writing an introduction and a paragraph about each nocturnal animal.
