In 'Curious Creatures Glowing in the Dark’, pupils discussed the key features of non-fiction writing and the purpose of the text. In ’Crazy about Cats’, pupils will further discuss the features of non-fiction writing and will consider the author's use of language to engage the reader.

They will develop their understanding of the features of non-fiction writing and will retrieve specific information from a text in preparation for writing.
