Hello, everybody.
It's Mrs. Steele back again for another music lesson.
This one is all about singing with pitch accuracy, and singing is my favorite thing, so I'm especially excited about this one.
Here we go! By the end of today's lesson, you will be able to sing high and low pitches matching the leader.
Let's have a look at the key words that we'll need in our learning together today.
We're going to start with singing voice, the voice that we use to create musical sounds that can be a mixture of high sounds and low sounds.
Call and response, a question and answer musical structure.
Melody, a combination of notes to make a memorable tune.
And pitch, how high or low a note is.
We know that it's very important to warm up our voices and our bodies before every music lesson to make sure that we prevent injury and we can sing safely.
Join in with these warmups so that you are ready for our singing today.
Here they come! (upbeat piano music) Let's warm up our bodies.
We'll start with our shoulders.
And let's say hello to our arms. And the other arm.
And our middle.
(hands tapping) All the way down to our toes.
Just give your toes a wiggle.
Let's warm up all the muscles of our faces.
Show me your happy face.
Show me your grumpy face.
Show me your big face.
Show me your small face.
Show me your silly face.
Show me your thinking face.

We've reached the end of our lesson all about singing with pitch accuracy today, so let's take a moment to think about everything that we've been learning together.
We know that singing questions and answers is a form of call and response musical structure, and we know that a sung question has a melody.
When we sing it, our voices move up and down as we sing different pitches.
We've done a lot of that today.
We know that using pitch actions can help us feel how the pitch moves in the melody, and singing questions and answers with the same melody is a good way of practicing matching pitch.
What beautiful singing today, everyone! I can't wait to see you for another music lesson sometime soon.
Bye, everybody!.
