Religious education

In this unit pupils will be introduced to the different explanations that people have for the origin of the world. They will learn the creation stories common to Christians, Jews and Muslims as well as how humanists explain the origin of the universe.

The world: how do different people explain how it started?

What do Christians, Jews and Muslims look to in order to learn about God?

What word do Muslims use for a caretaker of the world?

Why do humanists think we should care for the world?

How do humanists believe the world began?

What do many Christians believe about how the world began?

What is something both religious and non-religious people can believe?
