Carbon dioxide gas is one of the gases in our atmosphere.

The atmosphere is the air that surrounds planet Earth.

A gas is a substance  that is not a solid or a liquid.  Gases have no fixed shape and are often invisible.

To capture something is to take it and hold it.

A liquid can flow, has a fixed volume and takes the shape of the bottom of its container.
