Factor - A factor is a number which exactly divides another whole number.
Common misconception
Pupils may find it difficult to identify the factors in the word problems.
Model how to address questions. Use of familiar stem sentences to support pupils in identifying the factors: 'There are 7 bamboos. Each bamboo is a length of 5 m. 7 is factor and 5 is factor. We can skip count in ___ to find the product.'
