  2. After dictation, use your knowledge of grammar to check what you've written makes sense.
  3. Before you listen, use the English title and words provided to predict which French words you might hear.

Common misconception

I can only prepare for the listening exam by learning vocabulary and grammar.

While a strong grasp of grammar and excellent recall of vocabulary is essential, there are also strategies to help students achieve success in the listening exam. Prediction of words and phrases is one method to actively engage with listening.
