In this lesson, we will look at different fabrics that are used to make products in the home. Do we live a disposable fashion lifestyle?

In this lesson, we will look at the different user requirements and how designers have to adapt and change. We are also going to follow the story of a cotton polo shirt. Please note this lesson will require some additional equipment, beyond a pen, pencil or paper, to fully participate. Please see the equipment slide near the start of the lesson video and make sure your child is adequately supervised if equipment is required.

In this lesson, we will learn how, as designers, we can create products which protect our future. We will look at how designers are creating new materials from traditional waste.

In this lesson, we will be writing a short report about fabrics in our home. What environmental impact do our wardrobes have?
