  4. Brownstone’s Mythical Collection follows the stories of the Brownstones & their adventures through ancient mythologies.
  5. Joe describes himself as a child who explored a lot on his own and this inspired the character of Arthur.

Common misconception

Pupils may find it hard to think of authors, illustrators and books that inspire them.

Ensure your classroom has a diverse range of texts on display for children to explore. Regularly discuss text choices with pupils. You may want to refer to 'Developing Reading preferences in Year 4' to inspire some discussions.
