In this lesson, we will read a story and pause for comprehension questions to allow us to demonstrate our understanding of the text with single word answers (presented initially as a choice of two). This lesson models questioning to support understanding of texts and benefits from adult input.

This lesson guides child and adult through a game called 'The Leader Says...', which encourages the use of two-word phrases (name-action).

The resource will guide you through how to create an 'experience' of another culture to stimulate curiosity and facilitate conversation about similarities and differences.

This resource pack provides guidance for descriptive writing (choosing describing words) based on a sensory experience of a drum. It also provides some guidance for practising the fundamentals of written language.
