  • In this lesson, we will listen to part of a song, read some of the lyrics in the song and reflect upon the style of music. The children will also generate their own questions about the song and its lyrics. The teacher will also provide the children with some historical context.

  • In this lesson, we will consider the historical context in relation to the song they studied in the previous lesson. With this in mind we will then consider the songwriter's purpose when writing the song and who the intended audience might have been.
