Key learning points
- Some verbs are followed by prepositions and the accusative case, and some are followed by prepositions and the dative.
- Some nouns and adjectives are followed by set prepositions and cases, which, like the verbs, need to be learnt.
- The prefix 'da(r)-' can be added to prepositions to refer to something already mentioned. This is called a da- compound.
- When performing a role-play, answers should be a short phrase or sentence. Do not add unnecessary detail.
- It is helpful to categorise vocabulary by theme when revisiting large number of words.

Common misconception
I should include as much detail as possible in role-play answers.
