New beginnings

In today's lesson we will be looking at new beginnings as you will all be starting a new school. You will explore different emotions and how they make you feel and from this some strategies of managing your feelings will be shown. The children will be required to create an image/ painting of a feeling they experience through an emoji, thinking about different features to show specific emotions.

In today's lesson you will be learning what rules are and why it is important that you follow them to play a game. You will learn how to play a game and follow the rules. What would happen if you didn't follow the rules? You will then choose a game of your choice to play with your family members but again remember to go through the rules so everyone knows what to expect. Have fun but remember to follow the rules of the game.

In today's lesson you explore what kindness is and think about how we can display it through kind words and kind actions. You will think about showing respect, to receive it back in return. You will learn different gestures to communicate kindness and think about feelings that arise through showing and receiving kindness. By the end, you will create a sequence of gestures to show kindness and respect.

In today's lesson you will learn the characteristics of making and keeping good friendships. You will learn the features of friendship and how you can show traits of being a good friend. You will be creating a friendship bracelet using your phonemic awareness to try and write your friend's name and identifying your friend's positive attributes pictorially.

In today's lesson you will learn how to resolve minor conflicts you may have with your friends. You will learn different strategies to help overcome disagreements you may have and how to begin to attempt to solve these problems. You will learn different ways to resolve minor conflicts and stay happy and continue to be a good friend. You will create and practise a rap to help you remember some of the conflict resolution strategies.
