- Move: passing the ball requires placing the non-kicking foot next to the ball and kicking with the inside of our foot.
- Move: cushioning the ball with the inside of your foot enables you to receive the ball with control.
- Think: focusing and being ready, enables passes to be cushioned and received successfully.
- Feel: showing commitment to improving your passing and receiving skills shows self-belief.
- Connect: communicating effectively with your partner will increase the chances of passing and receiving accurately.

Common misconception
Pupils just stand still when receiving the ball, not understanding the importance of positioning.
Encourage pupils to understand the importance of moving towards the ball and getting set when receiving it.
