      Common misconception

      Pupils believe that hitting the ball hard is the best way to move and control it.

      Encourage pupils to keep close contol of their ball by using soft touches to keep it close.

      Teacher tip

      Use a range of different sized balls to challenge all pupils according to their prior ability. In cycle 3, shouting the colour as well as holding up the coloured cone may be an option to make the activity more inclusive.
