I can roll the ball in different directions with accuracy towards a target.
Key learning points
- Move: rolling the ball accurately requires us to look at the target we are aiming for.
- Move: rolling the ball with accuracy requires stepping forwards with the opposite leg to the arm which you throw with.
- Think: rolling the ball accurately requires concentration so that we are more likely to hit the target.

Common misconception
Pupils ignore the importance of their body position when rolling the ball.
Ensure pupils understand that aligning their body with the target, especially their feet and shoulders, will help increase their rolling accuracy.

Provide pupils with different sized balls so they can explore the different ways they roll.
