Keywords
Dodging - to avoid something by moving quickly aside or changing direction
Defenders - individuals who are trying to stop the attackers from scoring by tagging them
Avoid - staying away and trying not to go near something
Common misconception
Pupils might think they need to perform a dodge as soon as they see a defender.
Performing a dodge too early gives the defender time to react and move with you (shadow you). Performing a dodge too late means you don't have space to use the best technique for your dodge. The right timing will help you avoid the defender.
