Key learning points
- Move: dodging into space and using the correct technique improves our chances of scoring in a game situation.
- Think: working together to apply tactics is important when trying to score points in a game.
- Feel: demonstrating self-belief requires us to work as a team to avoid being tagged.
- Connect: when playing as a team, it is important to stick to the rules and play fairly.
Keywords
Tactics - a carefully planned set of actions that are used by a team or an individual to achieve a certain goal
Team - a group of people who work together with the objective of achieving the same goal
Score - the record of the total points earned in a game
Common misconception
Pupils may think that they can only be a good team member if they score lots of points.
Scoring a point means everyone in the team has done their job well, not just the individual who scored. Only some team members need to have the role of scoring points; doing your job well will help the team members whose job it is to score points.
