Keywords
Strategy - a plan for achieving success
Problem - a difficulty, challenge or obstacle that needs a solution or an answer
Competing - playing, racing or performing against an opponent
Common misconception
Some pupils might think that successful strategies need to be very complicated.
Simple strategies are usually most successful because everyone on the team can be clear about what they have to do and can do their part very easily and quickly.
Teacher tip
Using timed innings e.g. 5 minutes for each pair, can help you to organise the whole class and ensure that all pairs in all games switch roles at the same time. Innings organised by number of throws e.g. 5 throws per pair, can be more difficult to monitor as pairs switch roles at different times.
