Lesson details

Key learning points

  1. Move: foccusing on the object we send and receive produces successful passes.
  2. Think: deciding how hard or soft to send equipment will ensure an accurate pass.
  3. Feel: being honest and taking turns fairly means eveyone can enjoy the game.
  4. Connect: listening to others and including everyone shows empathy.

Keywords

  • Focus - giving something your full attention

  • Partner - someone you play or work with

  • Take turns - doing something one after another

Common misconception

Pupils throw equipment too high or throw overarm, and then blame their partner for being unable to catch it.

Encourage underarm throwing with a gentle force to help ensure all partners can catch and succeed.
