Key learning points

- Think: selecting a formation by considering the pattern and spacing between the performers requires decision making.
- Feel: rehearsing a group dance requires self-discipline from everyone involved.
- Connect: we can provide effective feedback by interpreting what the choreographer is communicating.
Keywords
Formations - the patterns performers are arranged in
Contrast - distinctly different
Question and answer - a choreographic relationship based on taking turns
Common misconception
Contrast has to be opposites.
Opposites are an excellent example of a contrast since they are completely different. However, there are others, e.g. to contrast 'up' you could use 'forwards' since it is a distinctly different direction.
