I can identify the attributes of an effective leader and lead small activities for my peers.

Common misconception
Pupils believe that leadership means being the boss and that they should be the only ones with ideas.
Leadership is about guiding and supporting others, not dominating. True leaders listen, include others, and delegate responsibilities.
Teacher tip
Ensure you allow time to rotate leaders, giving all pupils the opportunity to take the lead.
