I can develop and demonstrate leadership qualities when working as part of a team.

Key learning points

  1. Move: to complete the challenges in the quickest time, we have to react quickly and move efficiently.
  2. Think: a successful leader needs to communicate clearly, giving clear instructions to their teammates.
  3. Think: when completing challenges, we have to solve problems as a team by communicating and thinking tactically.
  4. Feel: not giving up after a mistake in the challenge demonstrates resilience and perseverance.
  5. Connect: leading by example, trusting teammates and understanding our role, increases success in completing challenges.

  • Team - a group of people who work together with the objective of achieving the same a goal

  • Leadership - to guide, inspire and unite teammates towards achieving a common goal

  • Communication - exchanging information, ideas, thoughts or feelings

Common misconception

Pupils believe that leadership means being the boss and that they should be the only ones with ideas.

Leadership is about guiding and supporting others, not dominating. True leaders listen, include others and delegate responsibilities.
