- Move: moving quickly into a space to attack requires running with fast feet.
- Think: different attacking options have specific positional spaces and responsibilities.
- Feel: to almost unconsciously move into a free space to receive a pass requires anticipation.
- Connect: when you are free for the ball it is important to look for and communicate this with your teammates.
Keywords
Centre (C) - the player who takes the centre restarts and is allowed everywhere except in the goal circle at each end
Wing attack (WA) - the player who connects the centre with the shooting positions and is allowed in the attacking goal and centre third
Wing defence (WD) - the player who connects the centre from the circle defenders and is allowed in the defensive goal and centre third
Common misconception
Pupils think that the opposite team to the scoring team take the following center pass.
The center pass is alternated throughout the game regardless of which team scores.
