Working together as a team to explore
Key Stage 3
Year 7
Physical education
Following on from a warmup, you should build your pace gradually to optimise your physical and mental readiness while minimising your risk of injury. In orienteering, it is important that you become familiar with your environment. To do this, you'll require stamina to keep moving and agility to change direction and speed. Other skills that are important when orienteering include: observation and attention to detail, staying alert and focused, time management to complete tasks in their assigned time, communication and teamwork to coordinate roles and divide tasks, navigation and spatial awareness, using your sense of space to move around efficiently, positive attitude and resilience to stay motivated and encourage teammates to keep morale high.
