Technique - how an action is performed within a specific style, e.g. how the arms should be placed
Mirroring - the choreographic relationship where actions are performed reflecting the movements of another
Common misconception
Dance styles are set and never change.
Dance styles continually evolve. When studying dances from history or other places, we are able to pinpoint key attributes that were relevant at a point in time, they may remain or they may be adapted.
