Nomination - the action of calling out the colour of the team that is being targeted just before hitting the kin-ball
Omnikin - official word that must be called before hitting the kin-ball, followed by the colour of the team they are targeting
Fault - an infraction or mistake that breaks the game's rules, resulting in the opposing teams being awarded a point
Common misconception
A team hit the kin-ball without properly nominating a team to defend.
Each hitting team must shout "Omnikin" followed by the colour of the bib worn by the nominated team before hitting the kin-ball.
