In this unit they will apply this understanding to a unit focussed in depth on churches, mosques and synagogues. It is situated here as pupils have deeper knowledge of the worldviews and so can look at diversity in more depth through a series of carefully chosen case studies. They will revisit these ideas in Key Stage 2.

  • Pupils should know the names of places of worship for different religions.
  • Pupils should know the names of followers of religions.
  • Know what the titles of religious leaders in a community e.g vicar
