Key learning points
- The SSC [b] as in 'celebrar' and [v] as in 'ver' sound the same in Spanish.
- Pronouns e.g. me, you, him, her replace nouns to avoid repetition.
- The direct object directly receives the action of the verb.
- The indirect object is indirectly affected by the action of the verb. In Spanish, IOPs go before a conjugated verb.
- For '(to/for) me' we say 'me', for '(to/for) you' we say 'te' and for '(to/for) her, him, it' we say 'le'.

Common misconception
The indirect object pronoun replaces the thing being given, not the person receiving it.
