Give your feedback on how Oak could signpost curricula

Jonathan Dando-Laing

School Support Director

Since March 2023, we have been working with a diverse group of brilliant partners in English, maths, science, history, geography and music to share curricula and teaching resources. Our newest partners will be joining us very soon to begin the development of a full range of subjects bringing subject expertise from across the education sector from schools, publishers and curriculum organisations to share with teachers across the country.

Oak’s mission is to improve pupil outcomes and close the disadvantage gap by supporting teachers to teach, and pupils to access, a high-quality curriculum. As part of that, we believe teachers should be able to explore a range of high-quality curricula to support them in developing their expertise in curriculum design as they make decisions about the best approaches for their school.

With our partners we have created new curricula, however, we know there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution for schools. Our work can only show teachers a fraction of the expertise that exists in schools and organisations. We, therefore, want to consider how best we may support teachers to explore and learn from other curriculum sequences.

We have started to develop plans to signpost additional curriculum sequences from Oak’s online products. To help inform these plans and our approach to this, we would now like to hear from:

  • Teachers and schools
  • Providers of curriculum sequences (both from commercial organisations and non-commercial providers)
